GREENWOOD

William C. Krantz Jr., 86, of Greenwood, passed away Monday, July 6, 2015.

Born March 24, 1929, in Bedford, he was the son of William C. Krantz Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Becker, both of whom preceded him in death.

Bill graduated from Shields High School in Seymour in 1947 and Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in business in 1956. He was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force from 1948 to 1952. He was stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany, for three years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Greenwood.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma Jean Krantz of Greenwood; children, Kathryn Jean (Steve) Martin of Richmond, Elizabeth Jane (Timothy) Jackson of Noblesville and William Douglas (Gretchen) Krantz of Marysville, Ohio; a sister, Beverly M. Pfaffenberger of Seymour; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Roland Becker; and a brother-in-law, Donald Pfaffenberger.

Burial was at Holton Cemetery.
