Mann family gathers at Freetown church

The descendants of James and Nevada Mann conducted their family reunion June 28 in the community room at Freetown Methodist Church.

Several family members attended the church service before the pitch-in dinner. Ethan Watts, son of Ryan and Hanna Watts, performed a piano solo during the service.

Millie Mann gave the prayer blessing before the noon dinner. President Angie Rochner conducted the business meeting, and Julie Brightwell and David Mann were recognized for having traveled from California to attend. Leah Nichols was recognized for being the oldest Mann cousin to attend.

With the passing of Mary Margaret Mann Abel in June, this was the first family reunion since 1965 not attended by one of the children of James and Nevada Mann.

Rochner was re-elected to be the president for the 2016 reunion.
