Jerry Lee Stanton, 49, of Seymour, passed away Monday, July 27, 2015.
Born July 12, 1966, in Seymour, he was the son of Asa Lee and Hazel Ovoline Brown Stanton, both of whom preceded him in death.
He graduated from Seymour High School in 1984. He worked for the city of Seymour in the refuse disposal division, Cracker Barrel restaurant as a maintenance staff member and Seymour Tubing as a forklift driver. He retired in 2006 from health complications.
Survivors include a daughter, Samantha (Marshall) Lucas of North Vernon; two sons, Nathan Stanton and Daniel Stanton, both of Seymour; a brother, Donald (Ann) Stanton of Columbus; two sisters, Debbie (Nick) Driver and Kathy (Scott) Cain, both of Seymour; several nieces; and a nephew.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Burkholder Funeral Chapel in Seymour with the Rev. Rick Grant officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
