KNOXVILLE, Tenn.

Mildred Rose Elliott, 100, passed away at 5:45 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015, at A Place For Care, Knoxville, Tennessee.

Born July 16, 1914, in Princeton, she was the daughter of Edward and Matilda Bethe Siekman. On Jan. 6, 1950, in Mount Carmel, Illinois, she married Howard John Elliott.

She was a member of the first graduating class from Mackey High School. In 1957, Howard and Mildred moved to Seymour, where they became long-time members of Reddington Christian Church.

Survivors include daughter-in-law, Cheryl Elliott; grandsons, Benjamin Craig Elliott and Phillip Brent (Yanique) Elliott; a granddaughter, Stasie Jill (Randy) Holder; great-grandchildren, Haley Jade and Robert Nathan Holder, all of Seymour, Tennessee; a sister, Marie Johnson of Hendersonville, Kentucky; a brother-in-law, Richard (Margaret) Elliott of Denver, Colorado; and several nieces and nephews.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Gary Lee Elliott; brothers, Gilbert, Clifford and Edward Siekman; and a sister, Grace Hodgen.

A brief graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Reddington Cemetery with the Pastor Bill Weaver officiating.
