Deep hole sinks Owls

Seymour scored four points in the second quarter at South Ripley on Monday, and couldn’t dig themselves out of a 23-12 at halftime, as they fell 62-44 on Tuesday.

Following halftime, the Owls and Raiders each netted 13 points in the third quarter.

However, the Raiders exploded for a game-high 26 points in the final eight minutes to seal a victory.

The Owls went 14 of 40 shooing on the night, shooting 20 percent from 3-point land with four makes on 20 attempts.

Toriek Miller led the Owls with 20 points and Isaiah Thomas added 12 points and eight rebounds on the night.

The Owls (5-10) will host Floyd Central on Friday night.
