Rock and mineral show set in Nashville

The fifth annual Brown County Rock and Mineral Show will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 26 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 27 at the Brown County History Center and Pioneer Village, 90 E. Gould St., Nashville.

Activities planned include demonstrations about gold panning by the Southeastern Indiana Gold Club and flint knapping by world-renowned artisan Ed Mosher, wire wrapping and lapidary demonstrations by local artisans.

Vendors from across the Midwest show and sell everything from gems to geodes to jewelry.

Booth space is still available for locals to sell their rock collections.

A children’s corner with fun activities will be a featured attraction.

Masks and social distancing required by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines.

Admission is free.

The club is actively involved in a variety of activities and is available for demonstrations and children’s groups activities such as Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
