Next US 31 closure expected to begin July 29

U.S. 31 has reopened between Uniontown and Seymour after bridge work was completed, according to a post on the town of Crothersville’s Facebook page.

The next U.S. 31 closure is expected to start July 29 or after for work on a bridge between County Road 500S and County Road 400S. That is located between Crothersville and Uniontown.

Also beginning July 29 or after, there will be a signal at the bridge over Blau Ditch as that structure is resurfaced. That is the bridge next to the gas station and convenience store on the north end of Crothersville.

Due to that signal, County Road 1060E will be closed on the east and west sides of U.S. 31. The east side of that county road connects to Seymour Road.

U.S. 31 is slated to reopen at Blau Ditch on Nov. 11 and between County Road 500S and County Road 400S on Nov. 29.

The official detour is Interstate 65, which can be accessed in Uniontown and south of Crothersville.
