Medora announces school registration, meal prices

Medora Community School Corp. is gearing up for the 2019-20 school year.

Registration will be from noon to 6 p.m. July 29 and 30 at the school, 82 S. George St., Medora. Book rental fees have not yet been released.

During a meeting Monday night, the board of trustees unanimously approved meal and sporting event admission prices. Superintendent Roger Bane said those will remain the same from 2018-19.

Breakfast prices are $1.90 for adults, $1 for students and 30 cents for students on reduced meals. Lunch prices are $2.50 for adults, $1.90 for students and 40 cents for students on reduced meals. It will be 45 cents for extra milk and 25 cents for extra juice.

Medora students will have free admission to all home volleyball and basketball games by showing their student identification at the door. For others, admission prices will be $5 for boys and girls junior varsity and varsity volleyball and basketball games or $4 if only one team is playing and $4 for boys and girls elementary and junior high volleyball and basketball games.

Season passes are $25 for JV and varsity boys basketball only, $75 for an all sports family pass and $50 for an all sports individual pass.

Also during the recent meeting, trustees unanimously approved bids for diesel fuel and bus maintenance.

Premier Energy was the only company to submit a bid for diesel fuel. Bane said it will be delivered at their cost plus 24 cents per gallon, and the corporation also has to pay the taxes.

S and S Machinery Repair of Norman had the same bid as 2018-19 for bus maintenance.

Bane said bread and milk are bid through Wilson Education Center in Charlestown.
