Barbara Sue (Woodson) Blewett, age 80, a native of Scipio, Indiana and a resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her beloved family. She was born on October 1, 1943 to the late Tevis Roy Woodson and the late Mary (Coffman) Woodson. She was a Pentecostal by faith. Barbara was a strong willed woman of great faith. She was a caring lady that was was a cheerful giver and loved her family dearly. She enjoyed watching tv with game shows, soap operas and every Sunday, she never missed having church at home with Jimmy Swaggart and was a huge Colts fan. She was a wonderful cook and the family will forever the memories of her meatloaf and peach cobbler.

She is survived by her three sons, Terry Galbraith and his wife Kim of Seymour, Indiana and Mark Galbraith and his wife Crystal of Columbus, Indiana and Jeff Galbraith and his wife Debbie of Seymour, Indiana. Three step sons, Jimmy Blewett of Seymour, Indiana, Mark Blewett of Seymour, Indiana and Kevin Blewett and his wife Angie of Seymour, Indiana.

Two daughters, Tammy Caplinger of Indianapolis, Indiana and Lisa Edwards and her husband Marty of Seymour, Indiana. Two step daughters, Brenda Blewett Wade and her husband Ray of Seymour, Indiana and Krystal Blewett of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Four brothers, Delbert Woodson and his wife Earline of Columbus, Indiana, Ronnie Woodson and his wife Janet of North Vernon, Indiana, Bob Woodson of Hayden, Indiana and Tom Woodson and his wife Donna of North Vernon, Indiana. 21 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 17 years, Melvin Blewett and the father of her children, Harold H. Galbraith. One sister, Wanda Roland and four brothers, Jerry Woodson Sr., James Woodson, Wilfred Woodson and Bill Woodson.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Christensen Family Funeral Home – Seymour Chapel with funeral services beginning at 1:00 PM. She will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery.

The family requests memorial donations be directed to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
