Library offers adult, teen programs in June

The Jackson County Public Library invites the public to celebrate the summer learning program “Adventure Begins at Your Library” with a tai chi presentation by John Charlton at 3 p.m. June 6.

Registration is required by June 4 and is limited to 40 people ages 13 and older.

The library is offering free programs for adults ages 18 and older, “Fund Your Adventure Craft” at all three library locations, with a limit of 10 adults per session in June.

Attendees will decorate a jar to save funds for future adventures. Seymour is at 3 p.m. June 10, with registration required by June 6. Medora is at 3 p.m. June 18 with registration required by June 13. Crothersville is at 3 p.m. June 24, with registration required by June 19.

The Seymour Library’s Pineapple Cork Craft for adults on June 20 is full, but a few more interested adults ages 18 and older can join the waitlist for the program.

The library is also offering free programs for teens in grades 6-12 at the Seymour Library: Dungeons Dragons is at 4:30 p.m. June 12. Registration is required by June 10 with a limit of 10 teens. Dorm Room Dish is at 5 p.m. June 24, and registered teens will learn to make boba tea. Registration is required by June 20 with a limit of 15 teens.
