Brownstown Central

The Braves faced off with Silver Creek in the battle for the Mid-Southern throne Monday. A win, for the Braves would’ve tied Brownstown and the Dragons, but a loss would wrap the conference up for Silver Creek.

The #15 Class 3A team took care of business defeating the Braves 9-0 to secure the Mid-Southern regular season title. Silver Creek belted four home runs in the win.

Brownstown was scheduled to face Jennings County on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.

Trinity Lutheran

The Lady Cougars almost pulled off the comeback against Milan on Monday evening, falling 5-4 to the Indians.

Trailing 5-0 in the seventh inning, Trinity rallied for four runs behind a Cami Keaton single, scoring Maddie Adams and Morgan Brewer. Emerson Warren then singled to score Keaton, before Grace Lance stole home for the final run of the game. Trinity would come up shy in the effort.

The Cougars were scheduled to travel to the Christian Academy of Indiana in New Albany on Tuesday night.

Crothersville

The Lady Tigers hosted New Washington on Monday evening. Dropping the matchup with the Mustangs 25-3. New Washington compiled 23 hits and walked 12 times in the winning effort.

Crothersville compiled 4 four total hits from Dacie Hughes, Zoey Prince, Grace Walker, and Meredith Henry. The team was scheduled to face off with Henryville on Tuesday evening, but it was canceled due to rain.

Boys Golf

Brownstown Central

The Braves hosted Borden and Salem at Hickory Hills Golf Club on Monday evening, defeating both opponents with a score of 152. Borden carded a 175, while the Lions finishes with a 179.

Micah Sheffer shot a 35, earning medalist honors for the meet. Caiden Gwin had the second bst score with a 37, followed by Collin Downing who carded a 39. Matthew Reedy ended his round with a 41, while Smith Hackman scored a 42. Cole Brelage ended his round with a 43.

The Brownstown JV team scored a 177 as a team, led by Drew Shelton (39) and Caden Waskom (43).

Girls Tennis

The Lady Braves battled with Edinburgh on Monday on the tennis courts. The Lancers edged Brownstown 3-2 to secure the win. Brownstown picked up wins in the second singles and doubles match.
