Trinity Lutheran
The Cougars dominated the Christian Academy of Indiana on Monday evening, downing the Warriors 10-0 for their sixth win of the season.
Peyton Pollert got the start on the mound, pitching four shutout innings, allowing four hits and striking out five batters, taking home the win with his performance. Kowan Gross relieved Pollert, finishing the remaining two innings, not allowing any hits or runs, striking out one batter.
Chase Bode led the way on offense with three RBI’s. Drake Goodpaster, and Nathan Finke led the team in hits, both recording two in the win.

Softball
Brownstown Central
The Lady Braves played twice in the past few days, dropping two tough matchups to 4A schools like Jeffersonville and Columbus North. Brownstown fell to the Red Devils on the final play of the game, losing 6-5, before dropping a 5-3 game to the Bull Dogs.
Sophia Wayt led the team against Jeffersonville, recording two RBI’s for the team. Brooke Meahl, Kelsey Schneider, Rylee May, Emily Dillman, and Alex Davidson recorded other hits. Schneider pitched, lasting 6.1 innings, allowing eight hits, six runs, and striking out seven batters.
Against Columbus North, Davidson led the team with two hits, recording one of the three RBI’s for the Braves. Schneider, and May were the the other two players to have an RBI.
Brownstown will host North Harrison tomorrow at 5:30 p.m.

Summer Athletic Camps
Seymour recently announced that summer high school athletic camps have opened for registration. Sports that are included in these camps are; girls and boys basketball, baseball, softball, football, soccer, volleyball and tennis. There is also a camp for Seymour Power Club.
