Crothersville

The Tigers exploded on offense on Thursday, compiling 18 runs in the game. Rock Creek Valley had a bigger offensive night, defeating Crothersville 25-18 in a super high scoring affair.

Dacie Hughes had a night to remember, going 3-for-5 with two triples and hitting an inside-the-park-home-run. Hughes recorded 8 RBI’s in the game.

All nine Tigers that played in the game got on base at least once. Crothersville will travel to Lanesville tonight for a matchup at 5:30 p.m.

Seymour, Brownstown Central

The Braves and Lady Owls competed in the Jennings County ‘Big Blue’ Relays on Thursday evening. Seymour won the girls’ meet with a team score of 74.50.

Brownstown finished in fourth on the girls’ side, while the Braves won the boys’ meet with a score of 75. Edging second place in the Panthers who scored 70.

The Lady Braves faced off with North Harrison on Thursday in girls’ tennis. Brownstown defeated the Cougars 4-1, only losing one singles matchup.

Boys Golf

Brownstown Central, Seymour

The Braves and Owls competed in the Bloomington North Invitational on Saturday. New Albany took the top spot with a score of 314.

Brownstown finished tied for fourth with a score of 326, sharing the spot with Carmel, and Center Grove. Seymour finished their round with a score of 369, tied with Edgewood for 14th place.

Micah Sheffer carded a 71 for Brownstown, finishing in second place in individual scores. Brownstown faces Trinity Lutheran at Shadowood tonight at 4:30 p.m.

Trinity Lutheran

The Cougars competed at Belterra Golf Club in Florence on Thursday against Switzerland County, Milan, and Southwestern. Trinity finished in fourth place with a score of 217.

It was the second-best score of the season for the Cougars, led by Rylan Adair who carded a 51. Nolan Teipen carded a 53, while Alex Overgaard, Wylie Jones, and Sam Lorenz, scored 58’s.

Trinity is back in action tonight at 4:30 against Brownstown Central.

Summer Athletic Camps

Seymour recently announced that summer high school athletic camps have opened for registration. Sports that are included in these camps are; girls and boys basketball, baseball, softball, football, soccer, volleyball and tennis. There is also a camp for Seymour Power Club.
