The Cougars picked up another victory on Tuesday, downing Oldenburg Academy 3-0 for their fourth win of the season. Kowan Gross brought his best on the mound, pitching a complete game shutout, only allowing two hits in the winning effort. Gross struck out 8 batters in the performance.

Trinity compiled 6 hits on offense from six different players. The team travels to Shawe Memorial tonight at 5:30 p.m.

The Tigers faced off with Columbus Christian on Tuesday evening, dropping the game 9-4. Columbus took a 5-0 lead after three innings, adding three more in the fifth inning. Crothersville scored their four runs in the final three innings, led by Beau Napier, who recorded two hits on the evening.

Trinity Lutheran

The Cougars got out to an early lead against Clarksville, never looking back to defeat the Generals 7-2 on Tuesday. Trinity compiled all seven of their runs in the first four innings, compiling eight hits, led by Maddie Adams who had three of them.

Olivia Cain and Dianna Munoz recorded 2 RBI’s, with Adams being responsible for the other. Cain, Munoz, Morgan Brewer and Addison Keaton were honored for senior night.

Grace Lance looked untouchable on the mound, fanning 15 Clarksville batters in seven innings of work. She allowed just three hits in the winning effort. Trinity will host Columbus East tonight at 5:30 p.m.

The Lady Tigers also had to face Clarksville, falling to the Generals 16-0 on Wednesday evening. Crothersville wouldn’t register a single hit in the loss.

The Owls matched up with Jennings County on Tuesday evening in Seymour. The Panthers got the better of the Owls, winning 7-1 behind a four-run fifth inning. Taylor Stuckwisch recorded the lone RBI, and pitched for Seymour, going five innings, allowing six runs, none of them being earned. She struck out five batters in her outing. Phoebe Underwood pitched the last two innings, allowing one hit.

Diem Castetter led the way with two hits on offense, followed by Abby Followell who recorded the other hit. Seymour will travel to Bloomington South for a game tonight at 5:30 p.m.

Trinity Lutheran

The Cougars competed at St. Anne’s Golf Course in North Vernon on Tuesday evening. Trinity would finish in third place, behind Jennings County and Hauser with a team score of 222.

Jennings County won the match, with Hauser in second place. Alex Overgaard had the low round with a 51 for Trinity, followed by Nolan Teipen (56) and Rylan Adair (57). Wylie Jones recorded a 58, while Sam Lorenz ended his night with a 60.

The team competes at Belterra Golf Club against Switzerland County, and Milan tonight at 4:30 p.m.

Girls Tennis

Seymour

The Owls swept Bedford North Lawrence on Tuesday evening, winning the match 5-0. Seymour honored its three seniors in Tori Fee, Elise Hartung, and Ashley Paredes during the meet.

The Braves got the better of Jennings County in girls’ tennis on Tuesday evening, downing the Panthers 3-2. The team then faced Austin on Wednesday, defeating the Eagles by the same score.

Brownstown is back in action today against the North Harrison Cougars. The meet is at North Harrison and will start at 5:45 p.m.

Brownstown Central

Brownstown’s track teams competed at Indian Creek on Tuesday against the Braves and Edinburgh. The boys won their meet with a score of 82. Isiaah Engle won the 110-meter hurdles, also being apart of the 4×100-meter relay group, alongside Gregory Hutcheson, Jack Pace, and Hudson Fritz, taking the top spot in the race.

Fritz won the 100-meter dash, while Chance Ratliff won the 1 mile race, Garrett Driver took the 400-meter dash. Hutcheson won the 300-meter hurdles, while Eli Crockett won the 800-meter run. Isaac Hutchinson won the Discus, while Jaden Disque took the top spot in the Shot Put.

The Lady Braves finished in second place with a team score of 58. Lana Wisler won the high jump compettion, with Olivia Fritz taking the top spot in shot put and discus, Hailey Bair won the long jump contest for the Lady Braves.
