Kenny graduated from Vallonia High School in 1957. After his graduation he attended Indiana Central for a short time until deciding that he was meant to be a farmer. Besides farming, he also worked a few years at Cummins Engine Company and drove bus #10 for the Brownstown Central School Corporation for several years.

On nice days you could find him out spraying weeds, mowing with his tractor, and taking care of his property. Some of his best memories were hanging out on Sunday’s watching sports with his buddies and morning coffee at Stubby’s garage.
