City board of works to meet Thursday

The Seymour Board of Public Works and Safety will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday in the council chambers at city hall, 301-309 N. Chestnut St., Seymour.

New business on the agenda includes various special requests for use of the Walnut St. parking lot (the site of the Farmers Market) including by Junkyard BBQ and Chick-fil-A. Addtionally, the Farmers Market is requesting to host a Mother’s Day event in the lot.

Other new business on the agenda includes requests by Junkyard BBQ to have various food trucks set up on the eastside of St. Louis Ave. between Chestnut and Walnut St.; a mobile food truck license request by Justin and Lauren Earl of Humble Joe’s Coffee Company; the approval of a Seymour Meals on Wheels volunteer appreciation picnic; and requests for sewer bill adjustments.

The Seymour Board of Public Works and Safety meets every second and fourth Thursday of the month.

Meetings are open to the public and the press.
