NEW ALBANY — When the subject of the notorious Reno Brothers comes up, most people quickly become fascinated with the story surrounding their crimes.

If you’re curious about the infamous Reno Gang, you can find out the details of their debauchery at the monthly meeting of the Floyd County Historical Society on April 23 at 6:30 p.m. in the Elsa Strassweg Auditorium of the Floyd County Library, 180 W Spring St., New Albany.

Frank and John Reno, brothers from Seymour, and the gang they formed in 1864 terrorized the Southern Indiana region for 4 years before being caught. Their tale ended in downtown New Albany.

Local historians Dr. Curtis Peters and Pam Peters will give a presentation on the gang and its connection to Floyd County.

Admission is free. Non-members are invited to attend.
