The popular rock-pop group 40 Years of College will perform in concert at the non-profit Park Civic Centre in North Vernon at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 6.

Tickets are $15 and may be purchased in advanced at the theater’s box office, 25 N. Madison Ave, North Vernon. Cash and checks only are accepted.

The box office is open 2 to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. Tickets, if still available, will also be sold at the door on the nights of the concert.

Sometimes referred to as “the doctors who rock,” the six-member band features several musicians from the area who are also employed or retired from the medical field.

The group is well known in the Southern Indiana region for its covers of classic songs from the Eagles, Beatles, Crosby Stills & Nash, Foreigner, Doobie Brothers, Journey and more.

The band members include Bob Caudell on bass and guitar, Dave Larson on keys, guitar and vocals; Kevin Welsh on drums and vocals; Roy Goode on guitar and vocals; and Becky Burbrink on vocals.

“40 Years of College always puts on a fabulous show,” said Patti Yount, Park Theatre board president. “We’re bringing them back to the Park by popular demand. Audiences love them.”
