Tickets are now on sale for Jackson County Community Theatre’s production of the Ken Ludwig comedy “Leading Ladies” at the Royal Off-the-Square Theatre, 121 West Walnut Street, Brownstown.

Performance dates are April 19, 20, 26, and 27, at 7:30 p.m., and April 21, at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for seniors and students.

As the story begins, two English Shakespearean actors, Leo and Jack, find themselves so down on their luck they are performing on the Moose Lodge circuit in rural Pennsylvania. As they travel from town to town, a bit of exciting news is discovered by the starving artists. In nearby York, Pennsylvania, Florence, a wealthy woman on her death bed is trying to locate two long-lost English nephews, Max and Steve, whom she has never seen, so she can bequeath them their share of her fortune. The talented Jack and Leo turn themselves into nephews Max and Steve to receive the inheritance. And that’s when the complications set in.

Paul Keller is directing the show and Megan Keller is production manager. Playing the parts of Max and Leo are Morgan Henry and Nathan Turner. Florence’s vivacious niece Meg is played by Amanda Newby. Rounding out the cast are Tiffany Miller as Florence, Amanda Dick as Audrey, Derrick Maxie as Duncan, Larry Hartley as Doc and Samuel Fontainez as Butch.
