The Brownstown Public Library recently announced a story time program for children 2 to 6 years of age has been scheduled.

The program will be held on the following dates, from 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and March 21; April 4, 11, 18 and 25; and May 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30.

A library staff member will come to the children’s department to let the kids know it is time for the program. Each week, children will be introduced to a different theme through a combination of stories, songs, finger plays and crafts.

Children who attend this program should be able to color and use glue sticks independently.

A parent or guardian must attend story time with children under 3 to assist with finger plays and craft projects.

In accordance with library policy, parents and guardians must remain in the building with all children under 5.

All of the children will be escorted back to the children’s department at the end of the program.
