SAC All-Conference

The Southern Athletic Conference ann0unced their annual All-Conference team on Tuesday evening. Crothersville’s Beau Napier was the only Tiger on the 2023-24 team.

Napier led Crothersville in scoring this season with 11.6 points per game. His best game came in a 29-point performance against Borden, where he shot 8-for-9 from three. The performance tied his teammate Dirk Crater for the most threes in a game by a Crothersville boys basketball player.

Crothersville finished their season with a 6-18 record, dropping their opening round sectional matchup with New Washington by 8 points.

Brownstown Winter Weightlifting

The three winners of the Brownstown winter weightlifting program were announced on Thursday. The winners were determined on how much they improved on their power club lifts. The three lifts associated with this are squat, clean and bench.

Cameron Markel won the junior class, improving his lifts by a combined weight of 60 pounds. Kameron Cunningham improved his weight in the lifts by 100 pounds.

Ernest Harrison had the biggest improvement, gaining 140 total pounds of improvement in the lifts.
