Lutheran Dartball League results through 18 weeks

Week 18 of the Lutheran Dartball League has taken place.

League Leading Sauers E lost two games to Redeemer S 9-4 and 7-2. Even with the two loses they remain in first place with a three game edge over the rest of the league.

Dudleytown Mets ran into a buzzsaw in rival Dudleytown N. After losing the first game 11-5, Dudleytown N was red hot in winning the last two games 8-1 and 14-2.

The Mets are in second place tied with Sauers B who had the bye week. Two games back of the top three teams are Immanuel 1, Wegan B and Wegan W.Wegan B won the first two games against Immanuel 1 but lost the third 6-3. Wegan W sweep Jonesville 5-2, 2-0 and 4-2 to remain tied with Wegan B and Immanuel 1. Immanuel Darty and Lutheran Lake battled toe to toe.

In game 1 Lutheran Lake won 4-3 in 11 innings and in game two they prevailed 6-5 in 12 innings. In both games the walk off hit belonged to Dave Vandercar.

In a titanic struggle Hayden Methodist won two games from the Pastors. The Pastors won game 1 3-1 with Hayden winning games 2 and 3 by scores of 2-1 and 1-0. Two key matches Monday has Sauers B playing Wegan W and Immanuel 1 hosting Immanuel Darty.

Dartball History

This week we take a look at the four newest teams to join the league. The Pastors are in their 7th year in the league. Their combined record is 63-177 for a winning percentage of .262.

Lutheran Lake are in their third year of league play. They have a record of 35-70 for a winning percentage of .333. The two newest teams in the league are Hayden Methodist and Immanuel Darty. They both joined the league last year.

Hayden Methodist broke the “Lutheran” barrier of the league. They asked the league if they might join our league and for the first time in 70 years there was a church team in the league that wasn’t Lutheran. Their record last year was 20-37 for a winning percentage of .351.

Immanuel Darty joined last year and had a record of 24-33 for a winning percentage of .421. Immanuel Darty play their home games at the tavern in Dudleytown.

Dartball Tourney Meeting: President Jeff Hubbard has called a meeting to draw for the tourney. The meeting will be next Wednesday, 3/13 at 6;30 pm at Meeks Tavern in Dudleytown.
