Seymour Sectional Final

Jeffersonville built up a 39-24 lead at halftime against New Albany Saturday night and went on for a 75-58 win in the championship game of the Seymour Class 4A boys sectional.

The Red Devils led 24-14 after the first period and 59-40 going into the fourth quarter in winning their first sectional since 2019.

Michael Cooper topped the Red Devils with 25 points, Tre Singleton scored 16 and PJ Douglas scored 12.

Jordan Treat was high for New Albany with 15, Rylan Schrink scored 13 and Chris Lampkins scored 11.

Jeff takes a record of 18-7 into Saturday’s Southridge semi-state while New Albany finished 17-8. The. Red Devils will face off with Evansville Harrison at 4 p.m. at Southridge High School this Saturday.
