Seymour Sectional Results

Jeffersonville will battle New Albany tonight for the championship of the Seymour boys Class 4A basketball sectional after the Red Devils and Bulldogs won Friday night.

Jeffersonville led Floyd Central 28-12 at the half, then put the game out of reach with a 30-point third quarter to win 66-28.

PJ Douglas led Jeff’s balanced attack with 14 points, Tre Singleton scored 13 and Michael Cooper scored 11.

Carter McQuigg topped Floyd Central (9-14) with 8 points.

New Albany held a 30-27 lead on Jennings County at the half, increased its lead to 51-42 after three periods, then held off the Panthers in the fourth period for a 76-68 win.

Rylan Schrink topped the Bulldogs with 20 points, Chris Lampkins added 19 and TJ Washington scored 11.

Carter Kent topped Jennings (11-14) with 26 points and Will Barnes added 15. Jeffersonville is 17-7 going into tonight’s 7:30 tipoff while New Albany is also 17-7.
