Weekly results and standings from the Lutheran Dartball League

League Leading Sauers E strengthened their hold on first place by sweeping second place Wegan B by scores of 20-6, 8-6 and 6-5. The three loses dropped Wegan B to 5th place in the league. Dudleytown Mets moved up to sole possession of second place by sweeping Borchers.

Game 1 was tied 1-1 until the Mets scored two runs in the seventh inning for a 3-1 win. In game three Borchers held a 6-3 lead going to the bottom of the ninth inning when Melvin Bishop hit a bases loaded triple to tie the game. The Mets scored a run in the 10th inning on a walk-off hit by Jeff Wehmiller for a 7-6 victory.

Merrill Otte was throwing good darts but getting nothing to show for it. In the first two games Merrill hit the SH and DP four times.

Sauers B and Immanuel 1 are tied for third place with Sauers B holding a slight edge having placed three more games. Sauers B won the first two games with the Pastors before losing the third 6-2.

Immanuel 1 lost their first game to Lutheran Lake 3-2 and then won the last two games 10-3 and 7-0. White Creek N sweep Hayden Methodist by scores of 6-5, 6-4 and 11-0. Clayton Capes for Hayden hit two home runs and Sean Messendiek hit one home run for White Creek.

Wegan A shut out Redeemer N 1-0 in game one. Redeemer N got their revenge in game three by thumping Wegan A 18-2. Monday night’s biggest match has Immanuel 1 traveling to Wegan B. Both teams are contending for one of the top spots in the league.

Eighteen scholarship applications were turned in to the league for the scholarships offered by the league. This years judges are Rev. Will Fredstrom, Rev. Ryan Schneider and Clayton Darlage, Principal at Trinity Lutheran High School.
