Edward Allen Scurlock, age 65, a native of Michigan City, Indiana and a resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at his residence. He was born on September 17, 1958 to the late Fred Leslie and Victoria (Scurlock) Fiscus of Greenfield, Indiana. He was a 1977 graduate of Elston High School in Michigan City, Indiana. He was the owner of Priority Xpress Trucking in Seymour, Indiana. Edward was an ornery, strong, driven, dedicated man that believed in integrity and conducting himself with high standards. He enjoyed sports, with the New England Patriots being his favorite team. He had extensive knowledge of teams and players of sports. He enjoyed family vacations, going to the casino and playing poker. Work was his life and he was an excellent provider for his family.He is survived by his wife of over 25 years, Eileen (Anderson) Scurlock of Seymour, Indiana. Two sons, George Scurlock of Greenfield, Indiana and Brandon Scurlock and his wife Kayla Miller of Seymour, Indiana. Two daughters, Amy Coleman of Seymour, Indiana and Brittani Scurlock of Seymour, Indiana. Two brothers, Gary Fiscus Jr.of Greenfield, Indiana and Jerry Fiscus-Allen and his husband Aaron of Michigan City, Indiana. Four sisters, Jenny Tucker and her husband Jay of Greenfield, Indiana, Tina Anderson of Greenfield, Indiana, Mitzi Hanes and her husband John of Greenfield, Indiana and Andrea Fiscus of Greenfield, Indiana. Three grandchildren, Daija Scurlock, Abby Williams and Lauryn Norris.He was preceded in death by his father, one brother, Orin Scott Reid and his step father Gary Fiscus Sr., that loved and raised as his very own son.The family has chosen cremation and private family services will be held on a later date.Friends are invited to leave condolence messages for the family at www.christensenfamilyfuneral.com.Daniel and Betsy Christensen have been entrusted with the arrangements.
