Area coaching hires

Trinity Lutheran football

It was announced at the end of last year that Trinity Lutheran was getting back into the sport of football. It won’t be high school football until 2025. The school hired Jonathan Clark as its new head football coach on Thursday.

Clark will coach the seven and eighth grade Trinity Youth Football League team for this upcoming season before transitioning to high school the following year. This will be Clark’s seventh year of coaching.

Registration for TYFL opens April 1.

Crothersville softball and baseball

The Tigers named their next varsity softball coach recently with the hiring of Bryant Hughes as the head coach. Whitney Douglas was appointed as varsity assistant coach.

Crothersville also hired a middle school softball coach in Audrey Jolissaint. The school hired Timothy Mills as the middle school baseball head coach.

Seymour boys sectional tickets

The 2023-24 IHSAA Class 4A Sectional 15 at Seymour High School will be cashless.

All tickets must be purchased at the following links below. Seymour opens play with Jeffersonville on Feb. 27 at 6 p.m. If the Owls defeat the Red Devils, they will face Floyd Central on March 1 at the same time.

The championship game takes place on March 2 at 7:30 p.m.
