Dartball history

This week, we take a look at Wegan A. This is the eighth year for a Wegan A team. They originally joined the league in the 1992-93 season and played seven years before dropping out of the league. This year, they return to the league as one of the youngest teams.

In the ’90s, Wegan A won 100 games and lost 311 for a winning percentage of .243. They scored 1,193 runs for an average of 2.90 runs a game. Their high game and series came in 1992-93 season with a game of 12 runs and a series of 25 runs. Look out for Wegan A come tourney time.

The earlier Wegan A team was 0-7 in tournament action. These young men will be hungry for a win and might surprise some teams. They have the third lowest winning percentage in a season. In their last year before dropping out of the league, they went 6-54 for a winning percentage of .100. That season, they lost a record 34 games in a row.
