The Brownstown Town Council is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. Monday at the town hall, 116 E. Cross St., Brownstown.

Agenda items include a request for the seventh payment of $58,500 to Veregy LLC for a project to convert the town’s wastewater treatment plant to solar power to save the town on utility costs. The council approved the sixth payment of $175,000 in January. The balance to finish the project was $117,169 then.

For the remainder of the year, the council plans to continue meeting at 6 p.m. on the first and third Mondays of each month with the exception of any changes for holidays. Council meetings are open to the public and press.
