The Owls hosted Bedford North Lawrence on Tuesday evening for Senior Night at the pool.
Seymour defeated their Hoosier Hills Conference foe in both team competitions.
The Lady Owls took the win 108-68, while the boys won 108-74.
Head coach Dave Boggs spoke about the win over Bedford North Lawrence.
“We thought coming in that we should win both meets,” he said. “I knew Bedford North Lawrence would bring it against us being a conference meet.”
Seymour honored a dozen seniors for their hard work and dedication to the Owls swimming and diving program. Sophie Coates, Carmyn Wilson, Stephanie Lopez, Shayla Thompson, Avery Miller, Makenna Greenawalt, Chaze Combs, Larry Simons, Lucas Jablonski, Caden Harriss, Isabell Knotts and Avery Stewart were all recognized.
Boggs spoke about this senior group and their impact during this season.
“The seniors have done an excellent job this season setting the bar high in practice and competitions,” Boggs said. “I always hate to see them go. Many of them have been with me for eight to nine years. In this sport, we are all like family.”
On both the boys and girls’ sides. Seymour won eight events.
“We swam a very solid meet,” Boggs said. “Times, strokes and details are looking good, as they should be by now.”
The Owls will now go to Columbus East tonight for a battle against the Olympians. The matchup will begin at 6 p.m.
