Brownstown Central

The Lady Braves took a trip to face Greensburg on Thursday evening, dropping the varsity matchup 64-37. The JV team grabbed the win, taking the 23-11 victory over the Pirates.

Brownstown now focuses on Rock Creek Academy, who they play today at 12:30 p.m. The game will take place at Rock Creek Academy.

Medora

The Lady Hornets hosted Clarksville on Thursday evening, falling to the Generals by seven points.

Medora was led by Aaralyn Hackney, who scored 19 points, while Jenna Bowers added 13. Madison Reece also scored six for the Hornets in the 49-42 loss.

Medora will now prepare to host Shawe Memorial today at 1 p.m. at Medora High School.

South Central would pull off the 67-35 win.

Girls Wrestling

Seymour

AnnMarie Shuler worked her way through the postseason for Seymour, ending at the final meet of the season, the state competition in Kokomo.

Shuler took first in her regional and second in semistate but dropped her opening match in state.

She fell to Reese Kasprzak of Lake Central by ultimate tiebreaker. Shuler is still a sophomore and has plenty of wrestling left to do for the Owls. Shuler ends her season with an 18-3 record.

Seymour

The Lady Owls took on Franklin Central on Thursday evening at Gymnastics Lane in Seymour, emerging victorious over the opposition by the score of 94.475-89.075 and improving to 2-0 on the season.

Ava Rebennack of Franklin Central won the all-around part of the meet. Mia Dailey of Seymour finished second, while Vivian Newkirk ended in third. Ella Brock finished in fifth with Gillian Bumbleburg ending the meet in sixth place.

The girls will get some time off before competing on the road at Shelbyville High School on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
