VALLONIA
Larry D. Robinson, 73, of Vallonia, passed away unexpectedly early Wednesday morning, December 20, 2023.
Larry was a member of Vallonia Christian Church. He was a former Buck Sargeant with the Army National Guard and was awarded an Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal (ARCAM). Larry was retired from Pardieck’s and owned The Bait Bucket in Vallonia. He was also a former employee of Reliance Electric &Excel Tool. He enjoyed hunting everything especially coons and loved to fish with his brother Pete. Larry enjoyed the people he met through his bait shop, loved spending time with his family and his sweetheart, Faye Lokey.
Larry was born on June 21, 1950, in Vallonia, to the late Lesley Merl Robinson &Jeanette Patton Robinson. He married Janice MayDeckard Robinson on March 30, 1971, and she preceded him in death on September 16, 2020.
Survivors include his sons: Shawn (Traci) Johnson, Seymour, Bob Schrader, Vallonia, Rick (Connie) Schrader, Brownstown, &Tim (Missy) Robinson, Medora; grandchildren: Adam (Amanda) Schrader, Savannah Schrader, Bethany &Lindy Schrader, Cody Schrader, Brooklyn (Denver) Dowling, Caleb (Erin) Robinson, Logan (Mattie) Miser, Kayli Johnson, Jacob Paul Johnson, Jacob Andrew Johnson, &Isaiah Johnson; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Pete (Anita) Robinson; sister’s, Joan (Jack) Marcott &Becky (Kenny) Eastham; his sweetheart, Faye Lokey; &several nieces and nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, wife, &brother’s: Bobby, Earl, &Berl Robinson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia, with Chris Criminger officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Military graveside rites and burial will take place at Vallonia Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Vallonia Christian Church, Don &Dana Myers Cancer Center, or to the Donor’s Choice.
