Six members of the Friends and Neighbors Home Extension Club attended the Jackson County Extension Homemakers Fall Fling at Kay’s Kafe in Brownstown.

County President Misty Stuckwisch conducted a short business meeting.

The group decided some of our money should be given for improvements at the Family Arts Building at the Jackson County Fairgrounds.

The bake sale at the Immanuel Lutheran craft show was very successful as we will be giving two $500 scholarships to students who are studying in family health and well-being.

We purchased drinks from Kay’s Kafe, and the Kum Join Us club provided delicious snacks to enjoy.

A large amount of food was collected to be shared in the little pantries in the county.

Stuckwisch also shared information about donating to Operation Christmas Child through Samaritan’s Purse.

A fall quiz was given and prizes awarded.

Door prizes were awarded to Vera Robbins, Donna Abner and Rhonda Kidwell.
