Richard James “Dick” Washbush, 80, of Seymour, passed away on October 25, 2023, at his residence. Dick was born on November 17, 1942, in Fond du Lac, WI to Henry and Helen (Seiler) Washbush. He was a graduate of St. Mary’s Springs Catholic School in Fond du Lac, WI. Dick retired from Mercury Marine as a Service Representative with over twenty-five years of service. He also worked for NTN Drive Shaft and Eckhart after his retirement from Mercury. In his free time, he liked to ride his motorcycle (a gift he received for Father’s Day one year), fish, watch boat racing, look at tractors, and build model airplanes. His favorite hobby was to attend the Grassy Fork Volunteer Fire Department Annual Tractor Pulls, an event he hadn’t missed in over thirty years.

Dick is survived by his loving wife, Cathy (Findley) Washbush; son, Robbie (Chelsea) Washbush; daughters: Sarah (Charles) Davis and Jennifer Phillips; brother, John Washbush; sister, Mary Cissoko; grandchildren: Aubrey Washbush, Josephine Davis, Aaliyah Phillips, Johnnie Phillips, Brook Davis, Trinity Davis, Tiffany (Dennis) Bershevitz and Kalobe Phillips. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services for Dick will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, October 30, 2023, at Voss &Sons Funeral &Cremation Service, 316 North Chestnut Street Seymour, IN. The burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday October 29, 2023, at the funeral home.
