SEYMOUR

John William Hopkins Jr., age 62, a native of Columbus, Indiana and a resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana. He was born on July 22, 1961 to the late John Hopkins Sr. and the late Lilly Hopkins. John was a member of Cornerstone Community Church for over eight years and considered them his family. The church loved him in return and was excited in watching his walk with God grow with each day. He loved music with the oldies and worship music being among his favorites. He loved audio books, including Patrician Cornwell, JD Robb and the Bible of which he would mull over and create deep thought and ask questions until he was certain what God was saying to him through the text. John was thoughtful and giving and even though he had very little, he always made sure that no one when without.

John is survived by his Cornerstone Church family, a special friend, Eddie, and special relationships that he shared with Mia and Lorelei.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 from 10:00 am until 1:00 PM at Cornerstone Community Church. Services will begin at 1:00 PM at the church with Pastor Spivey officiating.
