BROWNSTOWN, INDIANA

Thomas Earl Darlage, 82, of Brownstown, passed away, Monday, October 23, 2023. He was born July 17, 1941 in Jackson County, Indiana to Walter Henry and Elsie Verl White Darlage. He married Karen June Turmail on July 31, 1966 in Vallonia, and she survives.

Tom graduated from Cortland High School, class of 1959. He was a long-time member of Zion Lutheran Church and was a farmer since he was a young man. He spent over 40 years as a dairy farmer. He enjoyed caring for his animals and loved spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Walter Darlage, Jr., Robert G. Darlage, James Edgar Darlage and Roger Dean Darlage. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife Karen, daughters, Nancy Elizabeth (Steve) Wood, Teresa Diane (Chris) Dyer and Joyce Michelle (Mark) Livingston, his sister, Janet Myers, grandchildren, Mackenzie Dyer and Thomas Dyer, step-grandchildren, Amy, Kelley and Kristen as well as great-grandchildren, Maddox, August, Finley, Rowan, Aliyah and Evan.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Thursday October 26, 2023 Burkholder Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes, 419 N. Chestnut Street, Seymour and one hour prior to the service at Zion Lutheran Church, 1501 Geiser Drive, Seymour. The service will be at 11:00 am Friday, October 27, 2023 at the church with Rev. Jeffrey Stuckwisch and Rev. Bradley Akey officiating. He will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour. Memorials may be made through Burkholder Chapel to Zion Lutheran Church.
