Seymour

The Owls faced Bloomington South on Thursday, winning the matchup in four sets to grab their 17th win of the season.

The Owls took the victory 22-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-15.

Four Owls were honored for Senior Night during the game. Katherine Veatch, Delaney Thomasma, Raeann Baker and Journee Brown were honored before the match.

The Seymour JV team also faced off with the Panthers, losing the contest in two sets, 22-25, 14-25.The freshman team also competed against Bloomington South, losing 10-25, 20-25.

Seymour will now prepare for sectional. They will host New Albany on Oct. 12. The match will take place at Seymour High School at 6 p.m.

Brownstown Central

It was the final regular-season home game for the Braves on Thursday.

The girls hosted Salem on Senior Night, dominating the Lions 25-9, 25-14, 25-6.

Brownstown will compete in the Carmel tournament today, starting at 9 a.m. The Braves will face multiple teams in their final regular-season competition.

Brownstown then goes to compete in sectional against Henryville on Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. at Henryville High School.

The JV Braves won 25-12, 25-5 over Salem. The girls finished their season with a 15-4 record.

Crothersville

The Tigers were back in action on Thursday against Lanesville. The team would drop its final regular-season game 15-25, 19-25, 10-25.

Crothersville finishes the 2023 regular season with a 4-24 record and will compete at Medora for the sectional. The Tigers will face New Washington on Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. at Medora High School.
