The Seymour Common Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the council chambers at city hall, 301-309 N. Chestnut St., Seymour.

There will be a public hearing to appropriate from the American Rescue Plan Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Fund for the council chambers audio/video upgrade. Later in the meeting, the first reading of an ordinance for that appropriation will be voted on by the council.

Also, the council will vote on the second reading of ordinances establishing the salaries of appointed and elected officials and employees of the city for 2024 and an ordinance for the appropriations and tax rates.

In new business, an ordinance to rezone property in the 1600 block of South Walnut Street will be introduced.
