The holiday season often is among the most emotionally difficult times for people who have experienced the death of a loved one.

Schneck Hospice is hosting Surviving the Holidays, a GriefShare seminar especially for loved ones and friends grieving the loss of a loved one.

This free video-based program will help people identify coping strategies and develop concrete methods to manage the holiday season.

Attendees will learn how to deal with the many emotions they will face during the holidays, what to do about traditions and other coming changes, helpful tips for surviving social events and how to discover hope for their future.

The program will be offered from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 24 at The Point, 311 Myers St., Room 120, Seymour; 6:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 9 at Calvary Baptist Church, 1202 N. Ewing St., Seymour; and 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 14 at First Baptist Church, 505 Community Drive, Seymour.
