Crothersville

The Tigers faced off with the Rising Sun on Saturday, going on the road, dropping the match in three sets. Crothersville fell to Rising Sun 23-25, 15-25, 10-25.

Crothersville fell to 4-22 and will host New Washington on Monday at 6 p.m for a varsity-only matchup.

Brownstown Central

The Braves competed in the 2023 Pacer Invitational on Saturday, winning the boys side of the event with a score of 22.

Shane Ratliff won the event with a time of 16:50.55. His brother, Chance, finished in second place with a time of 16:59.06.

Traven Wellman followed in fourth place with a time of 18:16.30. Eli Crockett finished in eighth, clocking 18:45.71, while Damien Owens finished in 10th at 18:55.16. Garrett Driver finished 16th with a time of 19:38.53, while Brady Blann ended in 39th with a time of 25:34.07.

The girls finished in second place with a score of 41, just 12 points behind the winning team in Switzerland County. Trinity Cody led the way for Brownstown with a third-place finish and a time of 22:30.90. Cambell Shasteen ended in sixth with a time of 23:07.94, while Tori Lokey ended in eighth with a time of 24:06.08.

Kelsey Schneider clocked 25:07.29, good enough for a 15th-place finish. Claire Schepman ended in 20th with a time of 26:10.82. Chelsie Combs ended in 22nd with a 26:20.34 with Maddie Singleton finishing in 25th with a 27:02.39.

Crothersville

The Tigers competed in the Southern Athletic Conference meet on Saturday at Borden. Crothersville finished in fifth place as a team with a score of 85. South Central took first place in the event with a score of 45.

Crothersville was led by Koby Davis, who finished in eighth place with a time of 18:01.04.

Beau Napier ended in 14th with a time of 18:51.72, while Dirk Crater recorded an 18th-place finish with 19:22.61. Kaleb Moeller ended the race in 21st, clocking 19:38.17. Brayden Heath finished in 24th with a time of 20:17.51 with Corey Reynolds finishing in 36th to round out the Tigers. Reynolds recorded a 26:31.70 in the competition.
