First Raptor Rendezvous in 3 years set

The Indiana Raptor Center is planning its first Raptor Rendezvous in three years.

The event will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 14 at the Abe Martin Lodge in Brown County State Park. Tickets, which include gate admission to the park, are $35 per person.

Activities include a snack buffet with provisions; a silent auction where you can start Christmas shopping early and support the center’s birds; a 90-minute raptor program with photo opportunities; a chance to test your grip strength against that of a raptor without blood loss; and an opportunity to mingle and talk with center staff and other attendees who support raptor initiatives.

Attendees also may purchase Indiana Raptor Center merchandise and have the opportunity to learn about and make donations to the center’s bird hospital.

Tickets are on sale now and will not be sold at the door so a firm number of attendees will be known by Oct. 9. They may be purchased through Paypal at indianaraptorcenter.org; by sending check to Indiana Raptor Center, P.O. Box 1153, Nashville IN 47448; or by calling the center at 812-988-8990 with a credit card number.
