GREENWOOD, SC

Teresa Kay Shirley, 69, resident of Timms Road, passed away Monday, September 11, 2023, at Hospice &Palliative Care of the Piedmont with her family at her side.

Born February 20, 1954, in Seymour, IN, she was a daughter of the late Nelson and Christine Brewer Sumner. Teresa was a graduate of Seymour High School and retired from Martha Franks Retirement Community. She was the owner of TK’s Country Kitchen and worked with Greenwood District 50. Teresa enjoyed cooking, spending time with family, and loved animals.

Surviving are a son, Adam Shirley (Elizabeth Meadows) of Donalds; a brother, Eugene Sumner of Arizona; two sisters, Verna Harder and Brenda Clark both of Indiana; Adam’s father, Wyatt Tim Shirley; a niece, Teresa Marie Clark of Indiana; and nephew, Doug Dixon of Indiana.

The family will receive friends at Blyth Funeral Home 6:00-7:30 Friday evening.
