The Jackson County Public Library board of trustees is set to meet at 4:30 p.m. Monday in the meeting room of the Seymour Library, 303 W. Second St.

Agenda items include a public hearing for the 2024 budget, which calls for a general fund of $3,014.238 with $1,796,852 to be raised through the local property tax levy. This year’s budget is $2,898,350.

Director Julia Aker is expected to talk about an additional change to personal policy and discuss the appointments of Information Services Clerk Amanda Linville effective Sept. 5, Circulation Assistant Jonathen Andjuo effective Sept. 11 and Youth Manager Stephanie Sluder and Information Services Coordinator Kristi Gray, both effective Monday.
