The Jackson County Chamber will be hosting two upcoming events to build new connections with local remote workers and innovative thinkers.

The chamber and community partners have been exploring what an ecosystem to support remote workers, entrepreneurs and startup businesses might need to look like in Jackson County.

“If you are a remote worker, an entrepreneur, you have an idea for a new business or you’re just a big thinker looking to connect with others, we want to connect with you,” Chamber Director Dan Robison said.

The first event will be at 10 a.m. Sept. 15 at Moxie Coffee Company, 218 S. Chestnut St., Seymour. This will be a casual time to enjoy some coffee and connect with others.

The second event will be at 5 p.m. Sept. 26 at Guardian Bikes, 2230 D Ave. East, Suite C, Seymour. This event will include a tour of the Guardian assembly facility, refreshments and a time to interact with the company’s founder and entrepreneur from ABC’s “Shark Tank” show, Brian Riley.

“We have a great group of community leaders who want to listen and learn from local big thinkers about what type of ecosystem we can build to support them,” Robison said.
