Boys tennis

Trinity Lutheran

The Trinity Lutheran Cougars boys tennis team traveled to South Central on Tuesday to compete in a match. Trinity would pick up the victory with a 3-2 win.

The team secured two of three singles matches before winning a doubles match for the victory. Cougars No. 1 Solomon Hall defeated Peyton Tyree 6-2, 6-1. No. 2 Jack Stuckwisch got the victory over Carson Ridge, winning 6-0, 6-2. In the third match, Ronnie Renn of South Central secured a win over Luke Schepman, winning 3-6, 6-1, 1-0.

In doubles action, the teams split the matches. In the first match, the Cougars duo of Jonathan Neawedde and Nathan Finke defeated Ethan Hedden and Thayne McCrary 6-1, 7-5. The second match went to South Central. The contest was between Drew Kerkhof and Will Gausmann facing Hayden Thomasso and Brody Campbell. The game went to Thomasso and Campbell, winning 6-0, 6-2, however the Cougars prevailed with the match victory.

Cross country

Trinity Lutheran

The Cougar runners got another opportunity to compete on Tuesday evening at the Scottsburg Invitational. Seventeen teams competed in the invite.

Braxton Sinclair led Trinity with a 37th-place finish. Rylan Adair followed, placing 46th. Stephen Trager was next in 72nd, and Sam Dyer placed 91st.

Volleyball

Crothersville

The Crothersville volleyball match scheduled for Friday was supposed to be played at Austin. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the game has been moved to a home match for the Tigers. The game will now take place at Crothersville High School on Friday at 6 p.m.
