Library hosting growing native plants class

“Growing Native Plants from Seed” is at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 16 at the Jackson County Public Library, 303 W. Second St., Seymour.

Native Seed Communities program leader Bill Daniels of the Indiana Native Plant Society will focus on autumn and winter seed sowing. This will include collecting and preparing your own seeds and recommended containers, soil mixes and seed treatments.

Registration for this free adult program is required by Sept. 14 at myjclibrary.org/events or by calling or visiting the library.

Anyone interested in gardening is invited to attend and to also learn more about the local Seed Library. Attendees will receive free native seed packets compliments of Native Moon Nursery.
