Volleyball

Trinity Lutheran

Trinity Lutheran came up with a 25-12, 25-6, 25-22 win at Loogootee on Tuesday night to even its record at 6-6.

The Cougars were 77-89-12 in attacks with Carson Bowling 18-23-11, Madison Keith 14-16-14 and Drew Hubbard 12-13-4.

Trinity was 67-71-7 in serving with Laura Roeder 17-19-4, Addison Darlage 11-12-2, Bowling 11-13-1 and Keith 9-9.

Bowling had four blocks, Darlage had 30 assists and Roeder had 13 digs. Keith added 11 digs, and Bowling and Darlage had eight apiece.

Trinity Lutheran travels to the Christian Academy of Indiana today to compete at 7 p.m.

Brownstown Central

Brownstown Central traveled to Bloomington South on Tuesday and emerged victorious 21-25, 17-25, 25-14, 25-17, 15-7.

The Brownstown Central JV team won 25-22, 25-23.

Seymour

Seymour competed against Floyd Central on Tuesday evening.

The Owls dropped their varsity match 25-19, 25-20, 25-18.

Anna Fish racked up 11 kills in the game, while Journee Brown had 10. Norah Campbell also had two kills.

Raeann Baker had two aces, while Fish and Campbell recorded one each.

Campbell and Fish also had 11 assists. Jamie Bobb had the most defensive digs with seven. Seymour falls to 3-8 on the season.

The Owls host Jennings County tonight at 7 p.m.

The JV team also dropped their match after winning the first set. The Owls won 25-24 before losing 25-13, 15-3. The JV team will host Jennings County at 6 p.m. today.

The freshman team dropped its match 25-16, 25-14. They will head to Providence on Sept. 9 to compete at 9 a.m.

Medora

New Washington topped Medora 25-22, 25-23, 12-25, 25-22 on the Hornets’ floor Tuesday night.

Medora will take a record of 2-5 into tonight’s match at Crothersville.

Boys tennis

Brownstown Central

The Braves hosted Greensburg on Tuesday. The boys dropped the meet, losing 4-1.

In No.1 singles, Greensburg’s Dan Fisse defeated Smith Hackman 6-2, 4-6, 6-4. Pierson Wheeler grabbed a win for Brownstown at No. 2 singles, defeating Mason McNotty, 6-2, 6-2. Jake Dustock then won the third match for Greensburg over Jace Reaser 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles action, Greensburg took both matches to clinch the match. Jack McKinsey and Maurice Beaver defeated Lane Steward and Chase Brock, 7-5, 6-4. In the second set of doubles, Max Peters and Brady Davis fell to Lance Coy and Justin Adkins, 6-4, 6-3.

Seymour

The Owls faced Jeffersonville on Tuesday, falling to the Red Devils 3-2.

The two Owls wins came from the No. 3 singles in Carter Stein and the No. 2 doubles tandem of Drew Handloser and Xavier DuBois.

Seymour will travel to Bedford North Lawrence for a meet tonight at 5 p.m.

Boys cross country

Trinity Lutheran

Trinity Lutheran competed at the Scott Hiles Invitational at Bedford North Lawrence on Tuesday.

Braxton Sinclair finished 32nd, and Rylan Adair ended in 49th.

The Cougars will be back in action at the Scottsburg Invitational on Sept. 5 at 5:30 p.m. The meet will take place at Hanover College.

Boys soccer

Trinity Lutheran

Christian Academy of Indiana defeated Trinity Lutheran 3-1 on the Cougars’ field Tuesday night.

Trinity is 2-4 going into tonight’s home meet against Hauser.
