Kathryn Daulton-Evans, 73, of Medora, passed away at 6:10 a.m., Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Meadow View Health &Rehabilitation in Salem, IN.

Kathryn was born on October 15, 1949, in Medora, to the late Ralph Daulton, Sr. &Muzetta Callahan Daulton, who survives in Medora. She was a graduate of Medora School. She was licensed Cosmetologist and was co-owner of Guys &Dolls in Salem and then later had beauty shops in her home. Kathryn also ran Krazy Katz liquor store in Medora and worked on the road construction with her husband for several years traveling throughout the United States. She enjoyed gambling at the casinos, shopping for shoes and purses, reading romance novels, and especially attending Ft. Vallonia Days.

Kathryn married Charles David Evans on June 15, 1994, and he survives in Medora. Other survivors include her children: Suzetta (Brent) McKim &Tyson (Candi) Davidson; step-children: Dawn Evans, Charlene (Jonathan) Wilmoth, &Curtis (Kendra) Evans; 7 grandchildren: Abby, Paxton, &Cruz McKim, Maggie Lanoue, Colton Wilmoth, Harper &Jackson Evans; 2 brothers: Ralph (Mary) Daulton, Jr. &Carl (Kim) Daulton; 2 sisters: Frances (Victor) Maurer &Wanda Hamilton.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her father; 2 sisters: Teresa Edington &Wilma Webb; and 1 brother, David Daulton.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia with Robert Bobby Persinger officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, August 25th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time. The burial will take place at Proctor Cemetery/Dixon Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to the Kathryn Daulton-Evans monument fund.
