Trinity Lutheran volleyball

Trinity Lutheran faced off against Center Grove on Monday, dropping the match in three close sets.

The Cougars battled with the Trojans but lost the sets 25-22, 25-21, 25-23.

Madison Keith and Carson Bowling led the way in kills. They both recorded 11 in the game. Ava Blomenberg recorded six of them. Keith also led the team in blocks with three.

Addie Darlage led the way in assists with 31. Laura Roeder led the team in digs with 15, and Darlage recorded 11. Darlage led the way with four aces, Roeder recorded three and Kiley Zabel had two.

Seymour volleyball

The Owls traveled to face Columbus North on Tuesday and took the match in three sets, 25-18, 25-21, 25-18.

Anna Fish led the way in assists with 14, while Norah Campbell recorded 13 defensive digs to lead the team. Campbell led the team in aces with three, while Fish and Abby Otte both recorded two.

Junior varsity also defeated Columbus North but dropped the first set 25-16. The Owls rallied to win the next two, 25-17 and 15-11.

The freshman team also emerged victorious, downing the Bull Dogs 12-25, 25-20, 15-10.

Seymour girls golf

Seymour hosted Bedford North Lawrence and Jennings County at Shadowood Golf Course.

The Owls finished in second place with a team score of 194. Bedford North Lawrence scored 163, while Jennings County recorded 228.

Emmy Followell scored another personal best with her round of 45, and Katie Cottrill carded 47. Shana Spray had 50, while Emily Windley scored 52 for her personal best. Caroline Dennis finished her round with 58.

Brownstown Central girls golf

The Brownstown Central girls golf team competed against Springs Valley, Paoli and Eastern on Tuesday at the Pete Dye Course in French Lick, taking first in the event.

The girls scored 193 to win the competition, led by Gracie Reynolds, who earned medalist with her round of 40. Jayda Clodfelder recorded 48 for the Braves. Khloe Lingenfelter carded 52, while Megan VonDielingen and Abby Schroer both scored 53.

Trinity Lutheran girls golf

Allie Schocke competed for the Cougars against Clarksville, Salem and Christian Academy of Madison on Tuesday.

She scored second best in the event, carding 63, one stroke behind the medalist from Salem.

Trinity Lutheran boys tennis

Trinity hosted Oldenburg Academy in boys tennis, defeating the opposition 4-1.

Jack Stuckwisch defeated Clay Eckstein 6-2, 6-3. Solomon Hall downed Garrett Goldsmith 6-2, 6-0. Luke Schepman lost his match with Jonah Short 7-6, 5-7, 0-1.

In doubles, Nathan Finke and Jonathan Neawedde defeated the Oldenburg group 6-0, 6-1. The second group of Will Gausman and Drew Kerkhof swept the Oldenburg duo 6-0, 6-0 to win the match.
