A free COVID-19 testing and vaccination clinic is planned for 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at Seymour Fire Station 2, 1019 W. Second St., Seymour.

Rapid antigen tests will be available, according to a news release from the Jackson County Health Department. Flu vaccines also will be available.

People 12 and older can receive the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, while children 5 to 11 can receive the pediatric Pfizer vaccine. Both Pfizer and Moderna vaccines require two doses. Each vaccine is fully tested and highly effective at preventing serious illness from COVID-19.

If you are 5 or older and two months have passed since your primary vaccine series or your most recent booster, you should get an updated booster for better protection against variants.

Walk-ins will be accepted, but you can save time by making an appointment online at ourshot.in.gov.
